DAY 1 – Delhi
Welcome to India : You are picked by our executive from the International airport & escorted to the hotel. We will have a welcome briefing covering the various aspects of the tour (ensuring that you have the best of the Indian holiday). Overnight in the hotel.
DAY 2 – Leh
Welcome to the ‘Land of Gompas’ : Early morning transfer to airport to board flight for Leh. Pick up by our representative and transfer to hotel.
Arrival at Leh airport, to be received by our representative and transferred to the Hotel. Check in to the hotel for a Complete day of rest wherein welcome tea and coffee will be served by the Hotel. Lunch will be served at 2.00 PM, after lunch visit Leh Market, Leh Palace, Hall of Fame and Shanti Stupa. Overnight Hotel.
DAY 3 – Nubra
Surprising ladscapes : Travel Leh to Nubra Valley (120 Kms): After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the world, 18,380 ft). Arrive Deskit by Afternoon. Rest of the day free to explore Deskit, Hunder Villages and camel Safari in Sand Dunes between Deskit and Hunder Village. Overnight Hotel.
DAY 4 – Leh
Ancient Diskit Monastery : Travel Nubra Valley to Leh (120 Kms) After Breakfast visit Deskit Monastery and drive back to Leh by same Route, crossing Khardungla Pass. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
DAY 5 – Pangong
Breathe in the serenity : Leh to Pangong Lake to Leh (320 Kms) After early Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft), through Chang la Pass 17,350 ft., third highest motorable road in the world. 1200 hrs. arrive Pangong, highest salt water Lake in the World, shared by two countries India & China. Packed or Hot Lunch. Enjoy the beauty of lake on Banks of the Lake while appreciating the changing Colors of fascinating high altitude Lake. Drive back to Leh by same route. Overnight Hotel.
DAY 6 – Alchi
11th century Himalayan Arts : Travel Leh to Alchi (70 Kms) After Breakfast drive to Alchi en route visit Basgo Palace, Liker Monastery and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. Arrive Alchi by afternoon. Packed or Hot Lunch. Visit Alchi monastery and spend rest of the day free to explore Alchi village. Overnight Hotel or Camp.
DAY 7 – Kargil
Brokpa villages : Travel Alchi to Kargil via Dha hanu and Sanjak ( Kms) After Breakfast drive to Leh via Dha hanu, A beautiful village of Aryans. Arrive Kargil by evening. Overnight Hotel.
DAY 8 – Padum
Isolation of Zanskar : Travel Kargil to Padum (250 Kms). Early Morning drive to Padum (Zanskar), On the way, you can have magnificent view of Nun Kun Peak and Drang Drung Glacier. Visit Rangdum Monastery. Reach Padum by Evening. Overnight Hotel.
This south-west of Leh region is at an altitude of 13,154 ft. and an area of 5000 sq. km. It is famous for its rugged terrains, rivers and glaciers that make it inaccessible for nearly seven months
DAY 9 – Padum
Ancient Gompas of Zanskar : After Breakfast leave for Full Sightseeing of Karsha, Stongdey & Sani. Drive Back to Padum by Evening. Overnight Hotel
Most isolated of all the trans-Himalayan valleys of Ladakh, Zanskar is home to a well-preserved untouched Buddhist heritage & culture with many of its ancient monasteries still religiously active.
DAY 10 – Kargil
Backtrack To kargil : Padum to Kargil (250 Kms) After Breakfast travel back to Kargil by same Route via Penzi La Passs. Overnight Hotel.
DAY 11 – Leh
Backtrack to Leh :Kargil to Leh (230 Kms) After Breakfast leave back to Leh by same route. Reach Leh by evening. Overnight Hotel.
DAY 12 – Tso Moriri
Rugged and prizing country drive : Travel Leh to Tso Moriri Lake (240 Kms) After breakfast leave for Himalayan country drive to Tso moriri Lake (240 Kms. approx.) via Push, Chumathang (Hot spring) Reach Tso moriri by afternoon. Evening take a walk around the lake to enjoy the scenic beauty. Overnight Camp.
This Southeast to the Leh circuit is a little off-track and less traveled compared to that of Pangong Tso but any such quantitative analogies are injustice to these natures’ marvel. While on the move and/or during one’s brief halts this circuit is the place to get intimate with the natural waters, and the thriving wildlife and the camping nomadic herdsman of the yesteryears thriving on the upper reaches of the Ladakh. Of course, as the name suggests Tso Moriri lake forms the highlight.
DAY 13 – Tso Kar
Land of Lakes : Travel Tso moriri Lake to Tso kar Lake (120 Kms) Early morning leave for leisure walk on the Lake and enjoy the beauty of Lake and Changing colors. After breakfast leave back for Tso kar Lake, en route visit sulphur mines. Reach Tso kar Lake by afternoon. Packed Lunch. Overnight Camp.
DAY 14 – Leh
Backtrack to Leh : Tso kar to Leh (130 Kms) After leisurely breakfast drive to Leh passing through Taklang La, second highest motorable road in the world 17,585 ft. En route visit Hemis and Thiksey Monasteries and Shey Palace. Arrive Leh by evening. Overnight Hotel
DAY 15 – Delhi
Tour Ends : 0600 hrs. Transfer to airport and fly back to Delhi for the International flight with Sweet Memories of Ladakh
