Green Triangle Tour

Theme: This Northeast India Tour is a week of being amidst the green, wild, ancient and serene parts of the paradise unexplored in Assam and Meghalaya. Green Triangle Tour of the Northeast India is sided by the home of the one-horned Rhino at Kaziranga National park, the ancient capital of Assam of Guwahati and the colonial summer resort at Shillong.

DAY 1 – Guwahati – Arrival
Welcome to the Northeast india :  You are picked up by our executive from the main exit of the airport and transferred to the hotel in your private coach (Our executive will be waiting outside the custom area with a placard of your name).  You will be handed over the India travel kit containing all relevant documents of your trip (air/rail tickets, hotel vouchers, transport, guide, sightseeing vouchers, writing pads with other travel related documents).

Note: The normal check in – checks out time of the hotels are 1200 hours.   

DAY 2 – Guwahati-Kaziranga National Park 
The Ancient Shakti Center : After breakfast visit Kamakhya Temple, a Major Hindu Pilgrimage site. It is the site of tantric rituals as well and sacrifices of goats and doves are usual phenomena to the distaste of wildlife lovers and activists. During the festival of Ambubachi in July more than a million devotees throng this holy place. Return to hotel after paying homage to the mother goddess Kamakhya and drive on to famous Kaziranga National park (220 kms 4 hrs drive). Check into a Jungle resort on  arrival. Stay overnight at Kaziranga. 

DAY 3 – Kaziranga National Park 
The One-Horned Show: Early morning (5:30 am) explore central Range of Kaziranga National Park on Elephant Safari. On return, after breakfast explore the eastern range on a jeep safari. Return for lunch and proceed to Western Range of Kaziranga National Park on jeep. Stay overnight at Kaziranga.

DAY 4 – Kaziranga National Park – Shillong
Scottish Highlands: After an early morning breakfast drive to Shillong (280 kms 6 hrs drive). Have Lunch en-route at Borapani Umiam Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. Check in at your hotel. In the afternoon visit the local market. Stay Overnight at your hotel in Shillong..

DAY 5 – Cherrapunje Excursion (60 km / 1.5 hrs) One of World’s Wettest Places  : After breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (60 kms 1and 1/2 hr), the wettest place in the world. The beautiful waterfall-Noh-ka-likai is at Cherrapunjee you can also explore some of the caves in and around Cherrapunjee. Return to Shillong, en-route visit Elephanta falls and Shillong peak for some breathtaking views. Stay overnight at your hotel in Shillong.

DAY 6 – Shillong Guwahati 
In and Around Sylvan Shillong  :  Morning sightseeing at Shillong, visit Ward Lake and Hydari Park. Admire the beauty of Shillong, also called Scotland of the East. It is erstwhile capital of undivided Assam and present Northeast and home to the Khasi highland tribes. After lunch drive back to Guwahati (100 kms). In the evening take a cruise on Mighty Brahmaputra River. Stay overnight at your hotel in Guwahati..
