DAY 1 – Delhi
Welcome to Incredible India : Welcome aboard! You are picked up by our executive from the main exit of the airport and transferred to the hotel in your private coach (Our executive will be waiting outside the custom area with a placard of your name). You will be handed over the India travel kit containing all relevant documents of your trip (air/rail tickets, hotel vouchers, transport, guide, sightseeing vouchers, writing pads with other travel related documents).
Note: The normal check in – checks out time of the hotels are 1200 hours.
DAY 2 – Leh
Arrival at Leh airport, to be received by our representative and transferred to the Hotel. Check in to the hotel for a complete day of rest wherein welcome tea and coffee will be served by the Hotel. Lunch will be served at 2.00 PM, after lunch visit Leh Market, Leh Palace, Hall of Fame and Shanti Stupa. Overnight Hotel.
DAY 3 – Leh > Spituk > Zingchen (3380m/5-6 hrs)
Post breakfast we leave Leh town and drive around 7 km to reach Spituk Bridge on Indus River behind the Spituk monastery. Trek starts, adventure begins, through a flat and desolate plain along the Indus and into a narrower valley. We trek past the amazing views of the Indus gorge and into the isolated Zingchen gorge lined by willows. Reach the beautiful Zingchen for the overnight in Camp in the lap of the Himalayan village. .
DAY 4 – Zingchen to Yurutse (4120m/4-5 hours)
Leave Zingchen for Rumbak through a straight forward road; leaving village, you enter Hemis national park for the preservation of exotic wildlife – Snow leopard, Baharal and marmot and wolf etc. Trek and Walk through a narrow trail and valley widens as you arrive Rumbak and camp at Yurutse below Gandala Pass. Overnight in Camp.
DAY 5 – Yurutse to Skyu (6-7 hours)
From Yurutse follow path along the mountain side, then cross a small valley and follow zigzag steep path. There after cross Ganda La pass (4380m). Then long descent towards Shingo. After 2 hrs of descent arrive in the valley of Markha and after few hundred meters you reach Skyu. Overnight in tents.
DAY 6 – Sku to Markha (7-8 hours )
Follow a good path on the right bank of Markha where one can find great vegetation. Then cross right bank of river and cross through barren plain and arrive at Chaluk. Thereafter walk along the left bank of river and after another crossing climb towards Markha village. Good camp site beyond the Village and near river. Overnight in tents.
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Tchatchutse via Hankar village. Overnight in tents. n to board train departing for Agra. Overnight in the train.
DAY 8 – Thachungtse to Nimaling (4-5 hours)
After breakfast start trekking to reach Nimaling. Nimaling (4900 M) has a sweeping pasture where thousands of sheep, goats, yaks and graze during the summer months, rising to the south is 6400 M high Kang Yatse (Nimaling Peak), a lovely mountain, but not an easy one to climb, Overnight in tents.
After breakfast start trekking to reach Kongmaru La (5100 M). The trek to Kongmaru la passes through narrow Gorges. At the top of the pass, you can have view of the Ladakh range and the villages of the Indus valley to the north are excellent. Cross the pass and proceed to Shang. Overnight in tents.
Trek along the stream down to Hemis monastery, which is one of the oldest and richest monasteries in Ladakh. Visit Hemis monastery and drive to Leh enroute visit Thiksey, Shey and Stok Museum Palace.
