DAY 1 – Kathmandu
Welcome to the land High Mountain Peaks : You are received on arrival at Kathmandu airport and driven to your hotel. No pre-planned activities for the day. Overnight at hotel.
Capital of Nepal: Energise yourself with morning breakfast as you will be going on a full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu that includes: phenomenally famous temple of Pashupainath (Lord Shiva); ancient Buddhist stupa of Boudhanath – one of the largest in the world; Swaymbhunath that commands amazing views of the city (beware of the monkeys here) & lastly the Kathmandu Durbar square – the plaza opposite the old royal palace. The square is filled with temples and spectacular architecture. Try sampling some momos (stuffed dumplings) or Thukpa (soup noodles).
City of Lakes : After breakfast drive to Pokhara . En route you visit Manakamana Temple. The temple that sits atop a hill is reached by a cable car.
Mesmerizing views : After breakfast set out for a half day sightseeing in Pokhara visiting Devi’s fall (some call it David’s fall after someone who supposedly fell into it); Bindyabasini temple (dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati) & Mahendra pool.
Last you go for a boating on Fewa Lake, the second largest lake in Nepal. The eastern side of the lake offers the best views.
Overnight at hotel.
heart of jungle : The day is planned with exciting jungle activities that include elephant-back safari in search of animals, reptiles, birds. You may take a bath with your elephant at the end of the day. Spending a night on top of a wildlife viewing tower is also an excellent idea.
Overnight at Lodge in Chitwan.
DAY 7 – CHITWAN > KATHMANDU ( 165 km / 5 hrs)
