Welcome to Northeast India
Upon arrival at Guwahati airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our executive who will assist you with transfer to your hotel in a private coach. The executive will hold a placard with your name outside the customs area. You will receive a comprehensive India travel kit containing your air/rail tickets, hotel vouchers, transport details, sightseeing passes, guide information, and other travel essentials.
Note: Standard hotel check-in and check-out times are at 12:00 noon.
The Ancient Shakti Center
After breakfast, visit the revered Kamakhya Temple, a prominent Hindu pilgrimage site known for its tantric rituals and vibrant festivals such as Ambubachi, attracting millions of devotees. Post your visit, drive 220 km (approx. 4 hours) to Kaziranga National Park, famous for its one-horned rhinoceros. Check into your jungle resort upon arrival and relax for the night.
The One-Horned Rhino Safari
Begin early with an Elephant Safari through the Central Range of Kaziranga National Park at dawn (5:30 AM) for an unforgettable wildlife experience. After breakfast, enjoy a jeep safari exploring the Eastern Range, followed by lunch. In the afternoon, embark on another jeep safari in the Western Range to maximize your wildlife sightings. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Scottish Highlands of Northeast India
After an early breakfast, depart for Shillong, a scenic 280 km drive (approx. 6 hours). Stop for lunch en-route at Borapani Umiam Lake, a serene lake nestled among sylvan hills. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring the vibrant local markets of Shillong. Overnight at Shillong hotel.
Visit the World’s Wettest Place
After breakfast, take a 60 km (1.5-hour) drive to Cherrapunjee, renowned as one of the wettest places on earth. Visit the breathtaking Noh-Ka-Likai waterfall and explore nearby limestone caves. On the return journey, stop at Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak for panoramic views of the surrounding hills. Overnight at Shillong hotel.
In and Around Sylvan Shillong
Morning sightseeing in Shillong includes visits to Ward Lake and Hydari Park, soaking in the charm of this city often called the “Scotland of the East.” Post-lunch, drive 100 km back to Guwahati. In the evening, enjoy a scenic cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra River. Overnight stay in Guwahati.
