Day 3 – Jaipur to Mandawa (200 km / 4 hrs)

Paintings, Havelis & Frescoes: Drive south to the Shekhawati region, renowned for its elaborately frescoed havelis spread across small towns and villages. This open-air art gallery reflects the legacy of King Rao Shekhaji’s domain. Besides sightseeing, indulge in traditional Ayurvedic treatments like Pizichil (herbal oil massage), Mukhalepam (herbal facial), and Karna Dhoopanam (ear detoxification). Relax, explore nearby attractions, or attend cultural shows at your resort.

Day 4 – Mandawa to Bikaner (220 km / 4 hrs)

The Desert Citadel: Travel west to the desert city of Bikaner. Visit the unique Junagarh Fort, distinguished by its desert plain location rather than a hilltop. Day 5 – Bikaner to Jaisalmer (355 km / 6-7 hrs)

The Golden Oasis: Continue westward to Jaisalmer, a city carved entirely from golden sandstone. Explore the man-made Gadsisar Lake, once the city’s main water source, and visit the royal cenotaphs at Bada Bagh.

Day 6 – Jaisalmer

Rolling Sand Dunes: Spend the morning exploring one of Rajasthan’s most exotic forts in detail. After lunch, explore the local markets and then enjoy a sunset camel safari over the rolling sand dunes. Overnight in Jaisalmer.

Day 7 – Jaisalmer to Jodhpur (305 km / 6 hrs)

Sun City: Drive east to Jodhpur, known as the Blue City, founded in 1459. Visit the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, famed for its preservation and modern audio guides. Also explore the marble cenotaph at Jaswant Thada. Evening free for shopping, with an optional dinner atop the fort.

Day 8 – Jodhpur to Udaipur (269 km / 5-6 hrs)

Venice of India: Travel south to Udaipur, often called the Venice of the East or the Kashmir of Rajasthan.
